1940'S PALM BEACH JACKET, COAT, DOUBLE BREASTED, 40 LONG SIZE

Description

This is a 1940's Palm Beach double breasted jacket. It's marked as a 40 Long inside.
It has a shawl collar, two pockets, it's slightly padded at the shoulders. There is an inside label from the Harvard Co-Operative Society, and the Palm Beach label.
This particular Palm Beach label was used from 1944-1949, according to my research.
It measures 42 1/2" around at the chest, not including the 1 7/8" "gap", 41 1/2" at the waist. It's 32 1/4" long in back, collar seam to hem, 19 1/4" between the shoulder seams in back. The sleeve is 26 3/4", from the top of the shoulder, slightly curving towards the wrist, to the end of the sleeve. Please note that these are outside measurements.
No holes or worn areas, but there are scattered brownish spots on the lapels, collar, and shoulders, one or two at the bottom edge of the jacket.
I have not washed or tried to clean this in any manner.
