Vintage 1940's - Style Men's Blue Suit Jacket Patch Pocket Retro Gatsby WWII

This listing is for an interesting vintage newer-does-1940's suit jacket.
The jacket is made from a fine lightweight very dark (almost black) navy blue wool in a sort of uneven "grid-pattern" weave. Though the actual fabric content is not mentioned on any labels, the presence of a moth hole on the shoulder tells us it has at least a majority wool content. Of particular interest is that, even though the jacket is newer, the overall cut, coupled with the nice fat, rounded labels, patch pockets, and three-button front, would make it an ideal - and far more affordable - stand-in for otherwise costly original 1940's suit jackets! It has three black synthetic buttons on the front, as well as two per cuff. As already stated it has the iconic 40's (or even 30's) cut with the wider, rounded lapels, patch pockets and three-button front. The jacket is partially lined in a grey synthetic fabric and the shoulders are lightly padded.
Overall, the jacket is in very good condition. There is one small moth hole on the shoulder (see photo), and the fabric itself appears prone to showing wrinkles easily, however, other than this, the jacket seems to be in very good condition and does not appear to have any other rips, holes, tears, stains, missing or damaged buttons, etc.
Brand, region of origin and laundering information labels are present and intact. No Union labels were found.

Across chest, pit to pit, buttoned, laid flat: 22.5"
Across waist, buttoned, laid flat: 21"
Sleeves, shoulder seam to end of cuff hem: 25"
Shoulders, seam to seam, across back: 19.5"
Overall length, bottom of collar seam to bottom hem, in back: 32"
