Vintage 1950's Men's Blue Wool Check Suit Jacket Retro Atomic Age Mid Century

This listing is for a vintage 1950's men's blue check wool suit jacket.
The jacket is made from a nice, soft blue and dark grey wool in a subtle check weave. It has a typical late 1950's cut with narrow lapels and pocket flaps, high gorge and a three-button front, the latter of which are - interestingly enough - later US Military BDU-style green plastic, and are likewise not the originals, though it also has two per cuff that do appear original, and are a subtle greenish synthetic mother-of-pearl. It is partially lined in a gorgeous patterned red synthetic material and the shoulders are only lightly padded.
The jacket is in used - though quite nice - condition. There is a small hole inside the red lining, and the blue thread from the front buttons being replaced is visible on the backsides of the front (see photos), however, there do not appear to be any other rips, holes, tears, stains, missing or damaged labels, etc.
The brand and a very nice 1950's Union label are present. The owner's information label is also present, though left blank. No size, fabric content or laundering information labels are present.
No size is marked, so our measurements are as follow:
Across chest, pit to pit, buttoned, laid flat: 25.5"
Across waist, buttoned, laid flat: 24.5"
Sleeves, shoulder seam to end of cuff hem: 27"
Shoulders, seam to seam, across back: 20"
Overall length, bottom of collar seam to bottom hem, in back: 32"
