Vtg 60s 70s beige plaid light-weight Suit Mens 40 long 40W x 28.5L Bells

Description

Beige plaid light-weight 40 long; late 60s or early 70s suit.
The suit shows well and is in great condition.  The fabric is light-weight polyester blend shadow plaid cloth. It is cut in an American style with moderately padded shoulders and a single rear vent. The lapels are very wide 4.75". The pants have 11" bells.
Great for warmer weather.
Condition:
Very Good / Excellent vintage condition suit.  No stains, no visible wear. One very small flaw on the inside of rear vent. Not visible during wear and only visible under close inspection - see last photo. Only lightly used.  Pants may need some alteration, so priced accordingly. From a smoke free home.

Chest (arm pit to arm pit): 22.5" double is  45, the normal deduction is 4 or 5 making it a 40
Waist (across top /middle button): 21"
Sleeve (from shoulder edge seam to cuff): 26.5"   with a 2.25" hem
Shoulder (back seam to seam): 18.75"
Length (from bottom of back collar to hem): 31.5"
Pants:
Waist: 20"     double is 40"           with about 1/2"  to let out.
Inseam length:  28.5"  with a hem of  2.5"
Rise: 12.5

Perfect; like brand new
Excellent:
Looks nearly perfect; no visible flaws; almost new condition
Very Good:
Only a few minor flaws which are not visible or have no effect on the look of the garment
Good:
Multiple minor flaws, but may not be very noticeable, the garment is still wearable, but may need minor repair
A few words on sizing:
Since many suits aren't marked, I go by measurements to determine size.  Also be aware that sometimes a suit is marked, but it doesn't match the measurements. If you aren't sure of your size or the size of your own well-fitting jacket, there are a lot of guides on the internet to help you measure yourself and your jackets.  I use "askandyaboutclothes" "how to measure a men's suit jacket" as the basis for my measurements. I’m not affiliated with this guide, it just is the most user-friendly. Please take a little time to check your measurements, before you invest in a suit.
