Vtg 70s Tweed Suit wool Mens WORSTED TEX 39 Reg 35.5W pants BELLS

Description

Up for sale is this very striking striped tweed 39 Regular suit by Worsted Tex.  The suit shows well and is well-crafted. The jacket is a slim American cut (slimmer at the waist) with minimal shoulder padding, and a single vent.   The pants have moderate 10" bells.  Jacket lapels are 3".
If you are looking for a stand-out tweed suit, look no further.
Condition:
Very Good / Excellent vintage condition suit.  Almost no wear! On very small repair on pants seat - repaired with interior patch.  One very small flaw on back of jacket near vent, almost unnoticeable.  Otherwise, looks spectacular!  Very clean and sharp!
Made in U.S.A.  Union label is 1976-1989 series
Material: no markings, but looks an feels  like wool tweed
Marked: No size markings, but jacket measures to a 39 Reg.
Pants are 35.5 W  x 31.5L  (with a 3" hem )

Chest (arm pit to arm pit): 21.5" double is  43, the normal deduction is 4 making it a 39
Waist (across top /middle button): 20 5/8"
Sleeve (from shoulder edge seam to cuff): 24.5"             with a hem of 2"
Shoulder (back seam to seam): 19"
Length (from bottom of back collar to hem): 30"
Pants:
Waist: 17.75"     double is 35.5"           with about 2.25"  to let out.
Inseam length:  31.5"  with a hem of  3"
Rise: 12.25"
Thigh: 11.5"
Zipper: 7.5"
Total Length (from waist to cuff): 41.5"
Bell Bottoms: 10"

Mint:
Perfect; like brand new
Excellent:
Looks nearly perfect; no visible flaws; almost new condition
Very Good:
Only a few minor flaws which are not visible or have no effect on the look of the garment
Good:
Multiple minor flaws, but may not be very noticeable, the garment is still wearable, but may need minor repair
A few words on sizing:
Since many suits aren't marked, I go by measurements to determine size.  Also be aware that sometimes a suit is marked, but it doesn't match the measurements. If you aren't sure of your size or the size of your own well-fitting jacket, there are a lot of guides on the internet to help you measure yourself and your jackets.  I use "askandyaboutclothes" "how to measure a men's suit jacket" as the basis for my measurements. I’m not affiliated with this guide, it just is the most user-friendly. Please take a little time to check your measurements, before you invest in a suit.
